Christina Stojanova is a media historian, specializing in philosophical, analytical-psychological, and intermedial approaches to the cinemas of Eastern and Central Europe, Quebec, and Interwar Germany. Professor Emerita at the Department of Film, University of Regina, over the last fifteen years Christina has contributed 30 chapters to internationally recognized academic publications, three of which -- Wittgenstein at the Movies (2011), The Legacies of Jean-Luc Godard (2014), and the Special Dossier on The Legacy of German Expressionism (2019) – she has co-edited. Editor of the highly acclaimed The New Romanian Cinema (2019), she is currently working on her book Artist in Motion about Canadian animator Caroline Leaf, to be published by Bloomsbury Press (US).
